1. Continental paintings acquired post 1933, initial research complete, list of paintings requiring further research identified, initial research complete.
2. Pre 1945 British paintings acquired post 1933, initial research complete, list of paintings requiring further research identified.
3. Decorative Art, Non-British Archaeology and Numismatics and Boot and Shoe, Fine Art and Trinkets: initial documentation check complete detailed investigation of individual items which may fall within the area has been considered.
3.RESEARCH UPDATE
Initial checks have been completed and research has been pursued as far as is possible, given constraints of staff time.
Lack of records for some auction houses and for galleries now closed, prevent straight forward resources research, although it is possible that evidence may be available in secondary sources. This would be better pursued by a London based researcher.
