Stolen Caravaggio is recovered

A Caravaggio painting considered to be the most valuable work of art stolen in Ukraine was recovered in Germany, two years after it was stolen from a museum in Odessa. The painting called the 'The Taking of Christ' or 'The Kiss of Judas,' was made in the early 17th century, and depicts Jesus and his apostles John and Judas as they are being separated by soldiers. It has belonged to a Russian ambassador to France and a Russian prince before to was turned over to the Odessa msueum, where it was stolen in 2008.Read the full article.
